According to Freddie Mac's Primary Mortgage Market Survey, rates jumped from a previous low trend, but the general market sentiment is still favorable and optimistic.

In the weekly Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Market Survey, Freddie Mac's Chief Economist Sam Khater said, “...The housing market remains on the upswing with improvement in construction and home sales. While there has been a material weakness in manufacturing and consistent trade uncertainty, other economic trends like employment and homebuilder sentiment are encouraging.”
